All Things Through The Lord

As I sat down, praying, questioning, wondering, can I really do this? Can I really build this business? Can I really reach my goals and dreams? Can I really make the kind of impact that I want to make? That I feel called to make? I come across 1 Nephi 5:8, where after Sariah’s trial of faith and worrying about her sons, she states, “…I know of a surety that the Lord hath…given them power whereby they could accomplish the thing which the Lord hath commanded them.”
So often doubt does come into our minds. Satan will try to tear you down, to make you feel like you are not good enough, like you can’t do what is asked of you. That is his plan because if he succeeds than he is stopping the work of the Lord from progressing through you. He is keeping you from seeing your potential. And he is keeping you from progressing.
But, the truth is that, just as Nephi said in 1 Nephi 7:12, “…the Lord is able to do all things according to his will… if it so be that they (children of men) exercise faith in him” There are so many examples of the Lord doing things that to man, seem impossible, yet He did them. And he is still doing them. Through us. And through our faith in Him.
Sometimes we may wonder things like, “yes, but that was Nephi.” Or “Yes, but that was so and so.” We see what others have accomplished with the Lord’s help and yet feel that we are an exception. That the Lord will not help us because we are not “so and so.” It is Satan that has us compare with the thoughts that we could never rise to that potential.
But, each of us has divine potential.
If you feel that burning desire within telling you to move forward, then move forward. That is the Spirit telling you that the Lord is with you. That He sees what you can accomplish. That He believes in you.
Grasp onto that thought. The Lord believes in you.
Say it over and over again if you need to. Think back to the ways that He has strengthened you, even the little things. Because that’s how it starts, with the small and simple things. And then as we move forward step by step, we start being able to see Him strengthen us in even greater things. We begin to see that He really does believe in us.
Embrace the idea that the Lord believes in you, because He does. So SO deeply, He believe in you. He suffered all things for you. He saw your potential and He sees your potential.
Embrace these thoughts and, just as a seed of faith can be planted within your heart, let these ideas be planted within your heart as well. And let your faith in the Lord and His willingness to help you grow within you. And you will see that faith grow. You will receive glimpses into what you are capable.
And yes, as myself, there will be times that you wonder, Can I really do this? Can I really accomplish the things that the Lord is asking of me?
And the answer is always, yes. Yes! He will help you to part your own, personal Red Sea.
