Affirmation: I Am Present With Those Who Matter Most
Who are the people who matter most to you? How often do you give them your undivided attention, free from distraction? or do you find your mind wandering in your interactions with them? This affirmation will help you to deepen those connections that matter most to you.
In these videos, I dive into why this affirmation is important. In addition I give thoughts and ideas for applying it into your life.
I Am Present With Those Who Matter Most
This week we are starting our section on Deepening Connections With Our Family.
To start we are diving into this affirmation that focuses on being present with those who matter most. What does being present with those who matter most look, sound and feel like to you? *special appearance from one of my people who matter most. She decided to pop into the video.
Distractions
What keeps you from focusing on those who matter most to you?
Beginner’s Mind
Affirmation: I Am Present With Those Who Matter Most To Me
The Beginner’s Mind helps to stay present with those who matter most to you. This concept can help you view your relationships as if viewing it for the first time, full of curiosity and genuine interest. This concept has helped me in my relationship with my husband and also with my kids.
This concept also reminds me of childlike wonder. Watch the wonder your kids have and try to be filled with that wonder as well. Experience life with your kids in this way.
Give this concept a try, in both conversation and childlike wonder.
Present With Self And God
When you are present with yourself, paying attention to how you feel, what you are thinking, then you can show up more for those you love because you are moving forward in those relationships with intention.
When you are present with God, you bring a greater sense of peace into your home and relationships and He also gives you a greater perspective of what is possible.
View Them As The Most Interesting Person
The challenge for today is to view each person you interact with as the most interesting person to you. What are their thoughts, beliefs, experiences? What is something you can learn from them even if you disagree on certain issues? Listen to them with interest and curiosity seeking first to understand.
This can be done with your kids, spouse, coworkers, friends, anyone.
In Conclusion
Your kids, spouse, parents, siblings and/or close friends are those who matter most to you. They deserve to have you stay present when you are with them. As you do so you are helping them to feel loved, heard and understood.
